2026 Mt. Fuji Climbing Season Sale | 10% Off All Japan eSIM Plans
[2026 Mt. Fuji Opening Info]
All four trails open simultaneously on July 10 and close on September 10. The Yoshida Trail's opening day moves 9 days later than the traditional July 1 schedule.
• Yoshida Trail (Yamanashi side): online reservation required, ¥4,000 entry fee per climber (credit card / PayPay), 4,000-climber daily cap
• Fujinomiya Trail (Shizuoka side): the shortest of the four routes, fastest to the summit
• Subashiri Trail: forested route with varied scenery, with the famous "sunabashiri" sand-running descent
• Gotemba Trail: the longest route, recommended for advanced climbers
• All trails close from 14:00 to 03:00; only mountain hut guests may pass
[Why You Need an eSIM on the Mountain]
• Live-stream the summit sunrise (goraikō) to Instagram / Threads
• Continuous GPS tracking on YAMAP / Strava — a dropped signal breaks the log
• Check and modify mountain hut reservations
• Emergency contact: altitude sickness, thunderstorms, getting lost, calling mountain rescue
• Mountain hut Wi-Fi runs about ¥500 per 30 minutes — an eSIM is much cheaper
• The 2026 reservation system shows trail junction photos you'll want on hand mid-climb
